Diving
with Dolphins can be an awesome experience.
Here in Belize, you may have the opportunity simply
Snorkeling near St
Georges Caye Resort
or on your way to diving in the Blue Hole.
This video was taken while diving near the Resort
in late 2006.
Having the opportunity to view a Sea Horse is one of the wonders of diving the in the Caribbean. This is just one example of the smaller sea life you can enjoy. These "locals" love to pose for underwater photography and video.
This underwater video clip of scuba diving with turtles was taken just a short distance from Lighthouse Reef Atoll, one of the many dive spots we visit. Look closely and you'll see a couple of Queen Angels in the background as one of the turtles searches for and finds his mid day meal.
Seeing stalactites like these are just one of the things you can experience while diving in Belize's famous Blue Hole.
In
2006, we encountered Whale Sharks several times.
These magnificent gentle plankton eating giants
are largest fish in the ocean, yet gentle enough
to swim with.
The best time of the year to have such an encounter is March, April, May & June, as the Whale Sharks migrate through off the coast of Belize. Touching, riding or chasing Whale Sharks is not allowed, but they often mistake scuba diver bubbles for eggs and increase the interaction time with divers.
This clip shows the gentle interaction that can take place between a diver and an octopus as they play a game of Tug of War.
