St. George’s Caye Resort teaches all certification courses under Scuba Schools International’s (SSI) internationally-recognized training system. If you are looking to get certified, there’s no better place to do so than Belize. While all certification courses can be completed in their entirety on-site at the resort, the dive team recommends completing the written course work on-line prior to arrival so that you can spend more time in the water and less time in the classroom.

Open Water Certification

$475 USD per person $675 US for single student
The first level of official certification, this course Includes materials, class lectures, pool training, open water dives, dive gear and personal attention from St. George’s Caye Resort instructors. Certification takes approximately four full days when no work is completed in advance. You will have lifetime certification upon completion.  By doing your classroom training on-line, you can complete your certification at the resort in only 2 days.

Advanced Open Water Certification

$200 USD per person
This course is a great way for divers to build confidence and advance their skills under the supervision of an instructor. A series of brief lectures and six supervised dives are included. Separate charge for the dives applies.

Nitrox Certification

$150 USD per person
This specialty course teaches certified divers to spend more time underwater by diving with enriched air. Cost includes brief lectures and personalized instruction on two dives. Separate charge for the dives applies.
